Bridals

I got my bridals done. I got something checked off my to do list! Yay! Anyway, Jen and I drove out to Corn Creek and took some pictures. It was really fun. I have yet to decide on a hairstyle. I'm still not sure.

P.S. I went to get my makeup done and the lady put way too much on me. I wiped most of it off, but my eye makeup was a little too much. Haha.

The Zoo

It's been a while since I blogged and unfortunately I haven't taken too many pictures. Pretty much my time spent now is working, getting ready for the wedding, sleeping, and working out.

So since a majority of my life right now is at school, I figured I would blog about that. My classroom has full on become a zoo. It's my fault because I can't say no and I love animals a little too much. This is what I have to go to every day:

I have two red slider turtles that showed up a couple of weeks ago. They are the smelliest things ever and I pretty much have to clean their cage twice a week. BUT, when their little faces look at you, they are so cute! They always look like they are smiling!

Angel, the leopard gecko, is a classroom favorite. She was a donation from my stepmom who was trying to get rid of her. She is pretty low maintenance and I highly recommend her for a pet.

Noodles the snake holds a special place in my heart. I got him my second year of teaching and he has managed to survive six more years of grubby kids and moving from apartment to apartment. I love him, but I expect him to go soon since they only live to be about seven.

My firebellied toads crack me up. They are always croaking when its quiet. Plus they have such a smug look on their face. Silly guys.

I know...beta fishes are really simple, but I have seriously become attached to my beta Orlando. Every morning he swims over to a certain spot in his bowl and waits for me to feed him. So cute!

Am I a nerd or what???

Snowboarding Mike

I feel kind of bad because I am always posting about myself but never really talk about what Mike does. The last month or so Mike has snowboarded in three different states: New Mexico,Vermont, and Utah. I wanted to show you some skills my boy has and the fact that he has too much fun without me. :)

Girls Night

Caution. Some scary looking pictures.

We did this a couple of weeks back, but I have to post it.

So Wayne was gone one night for work and Jen, Sarah and I decided to have a "spa" night, so I went to walmart and bought cucumbers, face scrub, and some pedicure stuff and well...you see the rest.

Sarah was way too excited about the cucumbers.

Now thats a scary face!

What a crazy girl!
Hideous. :) But fun.

What Will Happen When I Move to Las Cruces...

(You can see these beauties from the front yard of Mike's house. I love it!)

So I went to Las Cruces this weekend on a spur of the moment trip. I was getting a little frustrated with the whole waiting on our letter and thought that if I just went and had some fun with Mike, I would feel better. And it worked. But anyway, as I was there, I kept thinking about what I will be doing when I move to Las Cruces and so I kept a mental note of things I plan on doing.

One. I looked for smoothie places and was excited to find out Tom Young's Fitness Center has one, which sold me. So this will be where I work out:

Two. I will mountain bike on the weekends and definitely on Tuesday nights. (I went on Saturday and actually did pretty well considering it had been almost eight months.)

Three. Every once in a while I will make Mike take me to Si Senors, even though every time I go there I feel guilty afterwards for all the calories. I wish I didn't like food so much.

Four. Antique shops and farmers markets. There are so many.

Five. De-weed the front and the back yard. I looked out Mike's window this morning and glared at the weeds growing in. Death to them!

Six. Make trips to Cloudcroft, a beautiful little town in the mountains.

Seven. Go down to Old Mesilla and walk around at the little shops and feel like a tourist.

Eight. Take a spanish class at NMSU. So many people speak Spanish, and I want to understand it dang it. You think three years of high school and one year of college would pay off?? No way. I forgot everything!

Nine. Interior decorate and organize my house.

Ten. Definitely have some picnics at White Sands.

And believe me, I will document everything!
